A Bittersweet Life: Sun-woo by TayleRX A Bittersweet Life: Sun-woo by TayleRX
Sup. Today, I give you a little experimental drawing that I did couple of days ago. It's a little break from LoTR characters (don't worry, I'll be continuing drawing LoTR characters shortly). You might be curious who this badass guy is... well, he's a Korean actor who goes by the name of Byung-hun Lee and this particular drawing is an inspiration from an awesome poster of the movie "A Bittersweet life". If you haven't seen the movie, buy it, download it - it's a quality movie. I find Korean cinema to be phenomenal and I think you all should check out some of Korean movies :D Anyway, as you can see, this piece is quite similar to Alucard drawing that I did a while ago. This time tho, I got a little bit smarter and used charcoal pencils to get this more intense "blackness". I can assure you, it was no easy job, my hand was practically dead after I was done but I think it was worth it. Charcoal however, is quite hard to manage, therefore the quality of the image is not that great :D
Anyway, I hope you like it and I await your comments :D

Definitely a great illustration for a GREAT movie.
Hell, I liked it so much I tattooed the title on my leg(see my gallery)... well, that and the phrase means something to me personally, as well. :D
God knows I love me some Lee Byung-hun! Bar-none, one of my favorite Korean actors... and you did an amazing job capturing his likeness.
Have you seen "I Saw the Devil" yet? PHENOMENAL flick! Same director of "A Bittersweet Life" too.
Thanks for sharing!

This is good, I loved Tale of two sisters(my favourite), Apartment- the one with the really feminin guy- he was freaky. I really like Asian horror movies, I personally feel they are better than western attempts at creating scary or weird films- western attempts stopped being great a long time ago-(Universal Horrors etc) no offence thats how I feel

Wow! When I see your latest works, I'm in utter and complete awe! Your work has started looking less like traditional art and more like photography even more so with each one! With this one, I'm glad that I got to see a darker, heavy contrasted piece again. You do really well with that.:aww: And although I'm not one for smoking, I'll overlook that aspect because it's still a flawless piece! I don't know how you get such sharp discernment in areas such as the eyes, where it's REALLY heavy on the paper, yet doesn't take from the distinction of the white in the eye or on the skin. But whatever you do, the lighting and shading is unreal. So anyway, in my opinion, it's another wonderfully done piece!:D
